Re: A Lenovo Ideapad Y700 with a SMART Status Test failure

Hi bradpitch92,

Greeetings.

It is on UEFI mode, Legacy mode will pop up boot priority so best to do it with the old drive connected.

Prioritize first on data backup and try to boot on the WD 500GB NVMe PCIe SSD m.2 as we are not really sure that the original harddrive would last long or even be reliable for you. Let us get this opportunity to backup while we still can and decide later when you have a new HDD if needed.

Regards

What does this exactly mean?

I definitely need a new HDD, but for now the 500GB m.2 SSD is enough for me and i'll probably just leave the SATA space empty for now.
