ACPI lid wakes Z510 unprovoked

2014-09-23, 11:52 AM

Hello

I have a 3 month old Z510. Lately when i have opened  the laptop, the battery will be completly drained, and the laptop bag hot too. So it sems that it wakes up by itself.

I ran powercfg -lastwake and the culprit was the ACPI LID, which is the lid right?

But as far as i can se, the lid is not programmable?

When i tryed to deny it from l/0 the pc, it came back with: "you dont have permission to enable er disable device wake"

I ran command prombt as a admin, and entered: powercfg - devicedisablewake ACPI lid

It runs 64 bit Win 8.1, everything stock, havent done any modifications to it at all.

How can i disable the lid from waking the computer up when i transport it?

Best regards

Christian

I might think the issue is otherwhere, it just jumped from 6% batterypower to 100%..

About 50mm.

In the bag, its strapped in. So noway it can open that much. I tried opening it a little and wiggle with it, didnt wake it.

As i said earlier, there is something funny about the battery right now, it went from 6% to 100% in a matter of minutes, so there might be something else wrong with it.
