Re: Audio Cracking in Lenovo y500

Hi Guddu2k17 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would the same cracking noise be heard using an external speaker or earphone?

Try to isolate if the issue comes on left , right ,or both speakers on the laptop.

Download offered realtek driver from the support site (place it on the desktop but not to install it yet -sample).

Try to fully uninstall current drivers from the device manager and place a check mark on the box to fully remove the driver. Restart the machine and allow native Windows driver to automatically install. Check the audio again.

If same issue , reinstall the previously downloaded audio driver and observe.

You can also try playing audio while booted on a live rescue image to check if the issue is OS related.

Update us how it goes.

Regards
