Hoping someone can help me with my IdeaPad Z370 that won't take the BIOS update that is on the Lenovo Website.
My system is running Windows 7 64 bit so I downloaded the BIOS update 4ACN38WW64.
When I run it from Windows after unzipping, it just flashes and goes away...if I run the AutoRun64.bat file from the DOS prompt I get:
Not sure why it appers to not support my video card? My card is :
Anybody have any idea as to how I can get my system to update my BIOS?
Thanks in advance...
PS the reason I am trying to update my BIOS is because I am experiencing Demonic Possession of my keyboard. periodically my keyboard takes on a mind of its own and opens folders when I type keys instead of behaving like a keyboard...this makes me sad.

Didi you try running winphlash.exe to flash the bios? Do you get any error in that too?
For the gpu, i suspect you have switched over to the integrated gpu. For reverting to the nvidia gpu, use the optimus switch which is on the right of the touchpad.
Also see if it is graphic setting is set to optimus in bios.

that is why I want to do it with WinPhlash64, but I have to chose between 4ACN38WA.wph, 4ACN38WD.wph and 4ACN38WE.wph
what is the right one?

could you just download the bios update and take a look at it? you will then see what I mean.
Or should I try to contact lenovo directly?

If I understand correctly,
you are asking me if I want to do the bios update because there is a problem with the laptop?
There are a few issues and I was hoping that the bios update would solve at least one of them. But even if there were no issues I would still want to do the update that might enhance performance.
I guess that I I have to choose between 3 WinPhlash updates because there is an i3, i5 and i7 version of the laptop. I have the i7 version. Does that help?
