Backlit keyboard for Z500?

Hello all,

I was wondering if it is possible to change the keyboard to a backlit keyboard?

1. If so where do I purchase one?

2. What will need to be changed for this to happen? e.g BIOS, cables etc

Thanks in advance

Re: Backlit keyboard for Z500?

According to page 69
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_z500p500_hmm_1st_edition_sep_2012_english.pd...

According to that page I believe all motherboards are capable of backlit keyboards assuming BL is standing for Back-Lit keyboards.

Best way to know is to just take apart your Z500, and there should be an empty flat cable spot. I think you only have to remove a few screws. The manual pretty much covers the whole process.
