I have atypical problem. I bought my Y560 around two months ago. I was contented until I turned on laptop. When I turned on it I could see black pixels but they disappeared after 2 days. So I wasn't bothering. But after few days they came back. I thought they may disappear (like it was first time) but unfortunately they stay still. I checked info about bad pixels but I couldn't find answer for my problem.

Does warranty covers it?

You suggest me to contact via phone with Technical Call Center ? Or some other way? does Lenovo supports door-to-door warranty?
I haven't made any changes inside laptop.
I have one more question about my laptop. Y560 supports Dolby Home Theater v3. I connected my headphones and I went to control panel > sound > speaker properties and there was NO bookmark about Dolby. I checked on www.dolby.com/ and I couldn't find any information about Dolby drivers for Y560. So this feature works? or it is fancy sticker on my laptop..?
Currently I have Audio HD Realtek 184.108.40.20637 installed, lastest drivers If it helps.

just a way to replace your lcd, contact lenovo support line and ship your laptop back.
door-to-door warranty is possible for some countries or areas ( don't think it's possible in poland )
press one key theater button to activate dolby.
check your manual for buttons.

My first thought was to look in manual. I did that and it is written not clearly It says Onekey Theater button has 3options. Normal, Movie and Intelligent. None of them tells me which option turns Dolby and I it still doesn't show me bookmark in cp>sound>speaker>properties with and with out headphones plugged.

Two weeks ago I gave back laptop to shop where I bought it. They did send laptop. Yesterday laptop went back with out any changes in. No note. Bad pixel still is on screen. I have called tech center. Today they told me that laptop was never in service(guy asked me for my s/n) and what is really funny guy on phone told me warranty do NOT contains bad pixel and even if I bought laptop with it.
I bought arleady laptop with damaged screen and I will not get any help? It's a joke? Where was my laptop for 2weeks? Maybe should I fly to US with laptop to get help? or what?? I have choosed IBM from Asus, Acer, Toshiba because I thought you do great hardware. All I got from you is disappointment, lost time and propably money.
fyi Laptop is still at shop, they wait from service answer and I think shop will send it back? then what ? again wait two weeks for nothing? Really I don't know what to do.

Defective LCD such as dead pixel is explained here.
If the call center mentioned that it is not covered, do ask them to check on this particular site first. Also the service person will determine if the LCD will be replaced.

Laptop was send again at Monday. Today service called to shop where I bought laptop and they told me that it is one bad pixel and warranty doesn't cover it. He has said that one of the cluster is broken. its 1/3 pixel. Laptop probably be back at Monday.
First time I was informed that this is covered by warranty now it is not. Manual says quote: "Lenovo warrants that each hardware product that you purchase is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period." page 84 My product wasn't free from defect it was already defected. 3 weeks passed laptop wasn't repaired by service. I must go to service personally and show them their manual and explain it like for little kids? How I can get any help? Go to consumer advocate?
