My Y40-70 has been unable to hold a charge and it's restricted me to using it plugged in only. I was hoping someone here would be able to give me the steps I should take to getting this sent in for a replacement.
Some extra info:
- AFAIK, the warranty is already expired since I bought this August 2014
- Battery runs out in approximately 1.5 hours without running any programs and about 0.5 hours browsing on Chrome (after a full charge notification)
- I checked sirbuster223's post and he was suggested to posting his machine number so the support could find his parts numbers and I have my machine number ready if it is needed.
Please help! At this point, it's become a desk computer instead of a laptop.

If you have a small Philips screwdriver, it is not too hard to remove the back cover to change the battery yourself and save yourself some time and money.
How to remove the back cover to access the battery starts on page 33 of the Hardware Maintenance Manual below
