Battery drop at 40% of capacity

Hello everyone, i ve been using the conservation mode for about 3 weeks , and now i ve returned to normal mode , so i plugged my pc until the battery reaches 100% of it s capacity ,then i used my pc normally , but every single time , for about 1 week now , the battery drop from 40% to 6% , and the computer turns off ,or goes into sleeping mode.

PS:Before this issue , 100% is enough for 3h and now it s the same , but from 100% to 40%.

Can any one help , i ve checked my battery capacity in lenovo settings , i think it was 59.9Wh and now it s 54wh ;thank you for reading.

Re: Battery drop at 40% of capacity

Hello Wassim320

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Sounds like you may have a failing battery on your hands, try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.

(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Re: Battery drop at 40% of capacity

Thank you Krakken for your help , but unfortunalty i can t remove my battery , but i did solve this issue , by discharging the battery to the minimum provided by windows (5%) and i plugged the ac for about 4 hours , and after this manipulation , everything worked like it was before , now i can use 95% of the battery capacity , i think it s just the battery jauge that was a bit confused ,cause i didn t use the computer with the battery power , it was plugged for about 3 weeks , with the conservation mode on , so i think this a kind of reset ...

I share this , in case if someone had the same problem this may be a solution
