Black screen between the Lenovo bootup logo and my Windows 8 login

2013-11-15, 9:01 AM

Hello, I have recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Z510, and when I got the computer I uninstalled what I thought was boatware and useless. After uninstalling the "boatware" I  started to notice a 1m 30s long black screen in between the Lenovo logo and my Windows login. Is it possible that I could have accidentally uninstalled an important program, that covered up in this problem? I tried not to delete anything that had anything related to Lenovo, here's a list of Lenovo related programs that I currently have installed:

Energy Manager

Lenovo Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software

Lenovo EasyCamera

Lenovo OneKey Recovery

Lenovo Photos

Lenovo PowerDVD10

Lenovo VeriFace

Lenovo YouCam

Lenovo User Guide

Lenovo Windows Driver Package (2)

Of Course here's some non-related Lenovo software that was pre-installed that I knew not to delete:

Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater

Intel AppUp Center

Intel Manageability Engine Firmware Recovery

Intel Graphics Driver

Intel Manager Engine Components

Intel Rapid Storage Technology

Intel SDK for OpenCL

OneKey Theater

Power2Go

Realtek Card Reader

Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver

Realtek High Deintion Audio Driver

sYsnaptics Pointing Device Driver

If you know what I could have accidentally uninstalled please inform me, thanks in advance.

hi Rashadjc,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!

I Would say Intel Applications mostly the Intel Rapid Storage Technology

It was meant to  Speed up the system with using SSD and HDD.

If you have a restore point try reverting it back and leave the Intel Apps installed.

Regards

Solid Cruver,

Thank you! That did fixed it, but now I have another problem when my computer goes to sleep the touch pad stops working. It'll start working again if I restart Windows, by the way I have Windows 8.1.

Rashadjc,

Glad that you're initial problem was solved! Anyway, you're recommended to start a new thread for another issue since the original issue in the first post was fixed with the method provided by Solid_Cruver.

Thanks!

Best regards,
Cleo
