Boot Loop Lenovo Y50-70

This is what happens every time I try to turn my computer on:

I have tried a battery drain, a system restore, removing every program not pre-downloaded off and booting in legacy mode. Some of these have worked temporarily and allowed me to get into the computer, but then the same thing happens again as soon as try to turn it one again.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

Most important thing here at the moment is to have your data backed up if you manage to boot or use an external hard drive enclosure to slave it on another machine for the back up. 

 

Running diagnostics specially with the harddrive may be a way to isolate this recurrent behavior. 

If it fails to boot, try booting on a rescue media to run the test .

 

If it does pass the hardware integrity checks then One key factory restore can be a good option to restore the software back since other repair options have already been exhausted. 

 

Update us how it goes.

Hi There

 

I was just trying to view the video to see the symptom and when it occurs but I find that the video is currently set to Private.  Might I please ask if you could change the permission setting on the video.

 

Could I please ask if the laptop continues to do this irrispective of it being on battery or mains power, and if you the problem occurs while USB devices are plugged in or not.

Hi again

 

Thank you for changing the permissions on the YouTube video.

 

The boot process in the video is repeatedy attempting the PXE Boot process.   Two of the most common causes for this can be.

 

1 - The boot order / priority in the BIOS has been changed

2 - An issue has occured with the hard drive or the connection of the hard drive.

 

As you have described the problem as seeming to be intermittent I suspect the latter of these.  Can I please ask if your laptop is still under warranty?
