Boot jingle and loud beep issue is fixed now for Ideapads. You need BIOS update. After BIOS update you will have an option in BIOS to mute o quiten beeper.
Y430 and Y530 already have this option in BIOS.
BIOS updates for S9/S10 are pending, I hope =)

1. Quiet Boot (oddly enough, this is simple the switch between the posting info or LOGO being displayed on boot)
2. Power on display
3. Legacy USB Support
4. Sata mode selection
Perhaps i am just confused with another problem, there is no options to disable anything else but i infact do not have a beeping on booting up. I assumed this would be directly related to some kind of system beep with the battery as well, which is Shreeeeeeaking especially when its 5:30am ;((((

The only thing fixed on the Y730 is the boot jingle. This, in my opinion, was the biggest issue with this machine. It would be nice to be able to switch off the power plug beep and switch between the boot animation and POST info, but it's not vital and I usually plug my laptop in before i boot it anyway. Since the beep can be disabled in Windows (not sure on Linux) i'm not too concerned about it at this point.
Either way, Lenovo WIN!

My scenario with the other Beep (battery):
Im streaming TV shows as i go to bed (on my y430 of course). Lets say 11:00pm, i fall asleep by 12:00, im rudely awakened by 1am to the screeching sound of the low battery alarm almost waking the entire house as i fight to shut it down. It doesnt shut down quick enough so i force shut down hoping all will be just fine.
