Same problem here with my V570 i5. It started yesterday. I didn't expect bugs and other problems to come up this early. I just had this laptop bought from Best Buy and its barely 2 months since i had it.

Recently my optimizer has started automatically running every time I turn on my laptop. If I leave it running it will eventually finish, go to the desktop, and then say it needs to restart to finish at which point it will repeat the process. I tried uninstalling it and this has stopped it from running altogether but I want to be able to use it. I have reinstalled the version that came with my laptop (0.0.1.6) and tried installing the latest version of the driver (0.0.1.9) from lenovo's driver page but the problem still persists. I've seen that this issue has already been brought up in previous forum posts but there must be a better solution than just uninstalling it.

I purchased my Lenovo Essential G770 computer in August 2011. I have been having the boot optimizer challenge since I took it out of the box. I have been on the phone with Lenovo for hours, nothing has resolved the problem. It is like a dog chasing his tail, the boot optimizer NEVER STOPS! They are clueless, all they want to do is sell me service which I have already purchased! I asked how to disable it and they said I need to purchase a 1 time service and they will help me.

The boot optimizer program sounds very promising; however, unlike bootvis (in XP), I have never realized any appreciable gain in having that program activated. In fact, it became more of an annoyance than a benefit so I completely uninstalled it.
However, I was finally able to "speed up my windows 7 boot time" significantly by turning off unnecessary services and startup programs along with a host of other things that are well documented on the internet.
