I checked the specifications page for the Lenovo Y50-70, and it is unclear to me if it supports a SSD larger than 512GB.
There it says up to 512, but I am thinking this is about the configurations in which the laptop was available?
Can anyone confirm that it supports a SSD of a 1TB, because I want to upgrade to a 1TB SSD?
Right now I have a SSD of 512GB which has about 15% free space, and am in need of more space because of the work I will be doing soon.
Also, does this model support any of the newer SSD technologies, like m2?

Hi, Thanks for reaching out. The Y50-70 has only been officially tested on up to 512GB.
You can refer to this link for more information about system specifications. http://psref.lenovo.com/Product/Lenovo_Laptops/Lenovo_Y50_Y50_Touch. Third-Party Companies such as Crucial also say that their 1TB SSD works with the Y50-70 so it may be worth checking out. https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Lenovo/lenovo-y50-70#SSDFilters
