Can's enter in bios

2019-06-11, 9:17 AM

I have a Lenovo mod Z50/75 notebook with S.O. Windows 10 Home 64 - bit, version 1809 build 17763-437, I would like to periodically scan online, with an antivirus program, via USB pendrive, I ask how I can enter the BIOS to give the right commands to scan.

Hi JS43,

Just to verify, you would like to boot from a USB and run an anti virus scan online? If yes, you would need to have an installed Windows 10 Operating System in your USB pen drive. Once , you have that, you can access the BIOS set the Secure Boot to Disable and USB Boot to Enable. Here are some recommended ways to enter the BIOS https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht500216?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6. You can also follow the steps here https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht500207 to boot from USB disk. After booting from the USB, you can scan your laptop online using a third party software like Virus Total.

Hope this helps.
