Can't connect to a shared Android's phone internet connection

Hi,

I have an Android's phone which can share its internet connection through wifi (as usual). It works fine on my old macbook, but it's impossible with my new Ideapad 710S Plus.

At home, wifi is fine. But when i'm away, I share my phone's connection, the laptop see the network, but it doesn't connect to it. Why ? Is there something special to do ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Helloran,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

Have you attempted to update your WLAN driver? If not, it can found here. Be sure to restart your device once installation has complete.

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on.

Re: Can't connect to a shared Android's phone internet connection

Hi Helloran,

You're welcome, I'm glad it resolved your issue!

Windows doesn't always find the most up to date drivers so it's always recommended you go to the manufacturers website for them. For future reference if you're looking to update any drivers, use the Lenovo support page, pop in your serial number and click on Drivers & Software. Smiley Happy

Hope this helps.
