Can the CMOS battery of the Lenovo Ideapad y470 be removed?

I bought this lenovo ideapad y470 from a former user so I am now the second owner, after 5 months of using it, suddenly my OS crashed and a BSOD appears every startup and I think the only solution is to reformat the OS, but unfortunately, I can't reformat it because the BIOS has a password! And even the previous owner doesn't know the password (And he insists that he did not put a password on it), so I'm asking now if the CMOS battery of this unit can be easily removed/not soldered so that the BIOS password can be reset. Thank you for you advance reply!

Hi limueldc,

Circumventing security passwords is not permitted in the Forum.

I'm sorry, but I have to lock this thread.
