Changing the WIFI card in my Lenovo 3000 Y410, all real solutions welcome

2009-09-14, 6:53 AM

I don't feel its right for lenovo to control what I do with the hardware I purchase.

With that in mind, I hate my intel 3945 wifi card and wish to replace it with a realtek card I have.

I have tried the 1802 patch, and the 20pin tape trick , with no luck

upon booting i get the " wifi card not authorized"

Any real soultions to fix this issue, so I can use the card of my choice?   Does anyone know how to edit the bios and whitelist all cards? This would be the real fix, and would help the lenovo community.  If you have any info, please respond , thanks
