Re: Cleaning the dust? lenovo Y510

I read whole Ideapad section every day and sometimes Lenovo 3000. Just do not have time sometimes to reply. I try to reply every case I can handle...

Mine is about 55-60 permanently (CPU).

To clean dust you have to vent it by pressed air or take off that part of Y510 that s above cooler.

Usually I vent cooler once a month - that's more than enough.

Re: Cleaning the dust? lenovo Y510

Having a temperature in room near 25 degrees I have 77 under stress test of S&M. If I launch 3dmark before it the temp will rise to 85 after - it's due to fact that CPU and GPU are on the same heat pipe in this laptop and heating one of them causes heating of another.

I clean vent once a month in my desktop - it is staying on floor and lots of dust is collected by month. Laptop I clean once a month only due to fact that I clean them both. just by company =)

It is not needed to do so often for laptop- they collect less dust and it's OK to clen once in two months or even three months.

just blow it through by airvent or mouth  - jsut remember to keep everything dry and i'll be OK. Blow while it is turned off.
