Cursor jump when typing

Dear forum members,

I purchased a lenovo Y510 ideapad laptop last month. Because of some application issues, I had removed vista and install XP professional SP2. All the device drivers were sucessfully installed, except touchpad driver. When try to install touchpad driver 'There is no supported inf to install the device' error appear.
Is any one can answer my query?

yours,

Re: Cursor jump when typing

Yeah, Lenovo's touchpad driver for XP is corrupted: it won't decompress.

It's no problem though: just download and install the generic synaptic touchpad driver from:

http://www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm

just pick the OS and bitlevel you want.

The generic drivers have every option the Lenovo driver for Vista has, including accidental touchpad tapping protection, horizontal scrolling, and so forth.
