Cursor starts lagging after working in Photoshop CC for about 3 minutes

I have a Lenovo Y50-70 on Windows 10.  I have no probem at all with any app except Adobe Photoshop CC.  Photoshop starts pretty fast and after I import a couple of pictures, the cursor begins to lag to the point I cannot work and have to exit Photoshop.  For instance, if I click on File, it takes about 2 seconds for the dropdown menu to appear.  Then the cursor would not respond to my mouse movement like it normally does.  Again, it lags about 2 seconds.

I have drivers updated for Intel HD 4600 and Nvdia Geforce GTX 860M.  Don't know what else to do and would appreciate your help.  Photoshop CC is not usable on my otherwise fine Lenovo Y50-70

Thank you!

Re: Cursor starts lagging after working in Photoshop CC for about 3 minutes

Hi theduke69,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

Are you using CC 2015 by any chance? I myself have had similar issues with this version and have also seen many other users report this also. I turnt off rulers which helped a little, but after doing a reinstallation of Photoshop, I no longer experienced the lag.

The 2 links below may be of some use.

PS1

PS2

If you aren't using CC 2015, let me know.

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on

Re: Cursor starts lagging after working in Photoshop CC for about 3 minutes

Thanks for the reply.  I use CC 2017.  Like I said, everything works fine.  Just when I start Photoshop CC 2017 and after importing a few pictures and start working on them, that the fan starts revving up and cursor lagging starts to the point PS is not usable anymore.  When I exit PS, fan quiets down and everything is normal again.
