About a week ago, the DVD RW (E) drive on my Y530 Ideapad, stopped reading discs. The drive is still represented in the computer window, but whenever I put a disc in the drive, I get the error message,
"Insert a disc. Please insert a disc into drive E."
What can I do to trouble shoot this situation?
Is it possible to remove the drive and reinstall the drive?
What possible options are available to me?
The Y530 Ideapad is out of warranty.
Thank you for your time and attention.

there's a solution from microsoft
still you can try to remove your device ( right click on my computer > manage > device management > cd/dvd rom devices > find your device > right click and remove > restart your computer > try again )
and also make sure your dvd rom seated well.
but according to me, your dvd rom is dead.
