Deployment OKR8 on the laptop Lenovo z580 with Windows 8

Bought laptop Lenovo Z580 without preinstalled OS. At this link: http://plus.evozi.com/143/lenovo-one-key-recovery-okr-8-0-iso-and-download-and-setup-guide/ downloaded image and created a bootable USB flash drive. With this stick divided HDD laptop on all the necessary partitions . The relevant sections of the disk were copied the required One Key Rescue 8 files. Then in partition "Windows8_OS" installed the operating system (Windows 8). Operating system is functioning normally, all partitions and files on the site, but One Key Rescue 8 doesn't work (when you click on "Novo" and select "System recovery" starts normal loading the operating system.
I can't understand what the error. How do I fix this? As in my case, to make the system OKR8 functioned?

Re: Deployment OKR8 on the laptop Lenovo z580 with Windows 8

Dear Alabama60,

Welcome to Lenovo Community,

Unfortunately Sir, the OKR Program and Key only works if the machine came preloaded with windows. So in your case the Recovery Option is the Novo Menu will not work.

Re: Deployment OKR8 on the laptop Lenovo z580 with Windows 8

I cannot agree with that. I think that Lenovo recovery system works because the laptop's hard drive is properly prepared. Created all the necessary partitions, they are assigned the necessary parameters these are the necessary files. And, most importantly, all this made the common people. Like I or you. Only those living in China. So why can't I do it? I just need to know the exact sequence of actions. The link that I indicated in the previous message, there is a variant of the decision. Not quite match my case. There is even a link to this image, but with Windows8 (in Chinese). And I need a Russian localization, or Ukrainian, or English. I tried to do differently. 't work. Here and am looking for assistance. Maybe someone knows what I did wrong.

Is Lenovo selling the model with W8?

A quick search doesn't show up any W8 offer.

If they only sell it with W7, check if they have used MBR on your model line and not GPT.

Thank you for your interest.
I bought my laptop without the pre-installed OS.
When you use an image from Evozi (see the above me the link), HDD is converted in the GPT.

Yes, you are right. But what is the UEFI/Bios searching, if you press the OKR button on your laptop. Does it search for a MBR Boot Part or a GPT one.

I don't know. But I think that if OKR8 works with Windows8, it should work with GPT disk.
Or do you think that in the case of my laptop, when you click on "Novo", is a search for a MBR Boot Part?
It is however in the BIOS or the hardware level?

Re: Deployment OKR8 on the laptop Lenovo z580 with Windows 8

Hello Alabama60,

Can you take a look at the guide in this link if it can be applied to your case. If the rapiddrive and ssd instructions portion can be eliminated then this could be the solution that you are seeking. Of course it started with okr 7 but look at the last part it has the okr 8 update.

Re: Deployment OKR8 on the laptop Lenovo z580 with Windows 8

Hello LenBlazer,
I have already tried the following sequence of actions (without SSD and rapid drive). But OKR7 does not work with Windows 8. And after the installation the OKR8 environment (in windows8) it refuses to work. Possibly the HDD must be converted to the MBR and in the BIOS to disable the UEFI mode?

Re: Deployment OKR8 on the laptop Lenovo z580 with Windows 8

The procedure as discuss in that link requires that uefi be disabled. I can understand that the OS is to be installed in the msata ssd so it is formatted as mbr disk. It does not indicate that UEFI is reenabled for the succeeding steps. Therefore the hdd must also be in mbr format. Since mbr format is to be use you have to disable UEFI in the bios. If this is what you want then proceed with the guide. However, if you don't want it then you just have to scrap the guide before spending so much time for nothing.

I also read somewhere (possibly in that link or in link626 posting that okr 7 will work in win 8 - maybe you have to verify this).
