Digital output for y 410

can some tell me how to connect  speakers in y 410?  Am seeing just RED light from headphone jack but not able to pin the 3.5 m jack!! plz help

hi sunny23,

 

According to this picture, the headphone jack is located on the right side of the PC and you should be able to connect a 3.5mm TRS connector unless there's something that's stucked inside.

 

If you're able to insert the 3.5mm TRS connector but not getting a sound, you could try to:

1. If you use Windows Vista/7, open the Sound Properties (Click Start > Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Sound) and under the Speakers Tab, make sure the Sound Device is not disabled.

2. If the 3.5mm connector can't be inserted and you feel that there's something blocking it inside, try to use a flashlight to verify and also check if the jack is not alligned properly or if there's something broken inside. If there is, you will need to send the unit in for service. Support phone list here.

 

As another option, you can try to get a USB Stereo Audio Adapter.
