Basically I want to know what the partitions on my hard drive should be.
What would I have bought it as. I want to restore it back to normal which does not work once partitions have been resizzed.
It is lenovo z580 1tb 6gb ram. I5 ivy bridge. Shipping with oem windows 8
Bought in England
Partitons in order
1) have 1 partition at 1000MB recovery
2) 260MB healthy efi system partition
3) Health oem partition 1000MB
4) Windows at 878GB
5) 5.86GB healthy primary partition
6) Lenovo D: 25GB health primary partition
7) 20.00 GB Healthy recovery partition
It might be that this is normal for the system.

Did you make a recovery usb? When I resized my partitions on my windows 8 preinstalled system, restoring original partition sizes did not allow for OKR to be fixed. When loading into okr it would hang with a bunch of vertical strips on screen. I can't help you on the original partition sizes in case you want to try and see if it works. I have a y580 and I can't promise you its the same. It has 6 partitions. Using your numbering I have identical partitions to match 1,2,3,6, and 7 with the rest allocated in my c drive. Also, if you use the recovery usb, back up your D drive manually, it will be erased. Using the recovery usb to reset my system did restore OKR though.

I read it was the c: windows partition when changed from it`s original size tops okr from working not the others apart from the recovery one which has to remain intact.

Have you seen the thread in the link below, especially the partition table editor, if you can get somebody with the same notebook as you, if they can run this app and give you the values.
