Dolby home Theatre V4 not working

Plz dolby is not working when i play any music or video and start dolby it does not work plz help is w8.1 causing the prob in 8 it worked very smoothly after updating it worked for a month or so then it suddenly stopped



windows 8.1

i5 processor 3230M 2.60GHZ

6gb ram

64bit os

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!



This normally happened after upgrading the system to WIndows 8.1 that updated the driver but left the dolby Software on original Version.


I suggest you Open Device manager and Uninstall the Audio Driver. (make sure to place a check on delete driver software prompt to rid of the driver completely from your system).  


Then Open Control Panel / Uninstall a program and Uninstall all Dolby Component

          then delete the Driver Backup under C: / Driver folder.


Now Download the WIndows 8.1 Audio Driver and Install it

        for your Systsem, Here it is  Realtek Audio Driver for 64-bit Windows 


After Extraction and Installtion completely,

     this will Creata a new back up under C: Driver folder.

        Open that and find the DolbyGUI folder Open that and you'll find the Dolby Install that matches your Audio Driver
