Dolby sound does not work

2009-10-17, 1:56 AM

I have a Y530 and the Dolby sound was always louder through the right side. Not balanced at all. I made sure all the settings were correct but no matter what, it favors the right side. I went to Lenovo's site and downloaded a new driver that was dated newer than what I had but that not only didn't fix the problem it eliminated the Dolby system altogether. Now the inductive touch panel does nothing when I push the buttons for the sound settings. It's as if that driver removed the Dolby system. I'm still under warranty with this thing but I thought I'd try to get it resolved here before calling. I've yet to hear the "subwoofer" that is built in. What I get now is sound only from the two outer speakers and it's not very loud at all. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
