Dolby surround sound and standby/sleep

2010-03-05, 19:08 PM

I just got a y550 with windows vista on it and I was wondering does the Realtek HD Audio Manager have to be on in order for the dolby touch button to open up the dolby control center, because i disabled the realtek manager from starting up with the machine and when i press the touch button it doesnt want to open untill i open the realtek manager is open then it will open with no problem, i just dont like having 2 speaker icons open in the taskbar.

Also is there a standby mode on this computer all i see is sleep and hibernate, i dont believe i have hibernate active but after awhile the computer will turn off and then when i hit the power it will say resuming windows
