My IdeaPad Y500 crashed, unbootable, built-in recovery options all failed, so I clean-installed Windows 8.1 from a live USB I created at Microsoft's website, and now I need to install drivers.
1. The Lenovo driver download page just offers a lot of drivers, doesn't make clear which drivers are needed for my specific hardware configuration. Is there a Lenovo program I can download to my Y500 which will look at my devices, decide what drivers I need, and let me know?
2. If not, let's get specific:
a) Do I need the chipset driver?
b) Do I need Intel Rapid Storage?
c) Do I need Intel Rapid Start? (Whether I do or not, how do I get my Y500 to use the 16GB SSD to boot quickly?)
d) Do I need a Bluetooth driver? And which one?
e) Do I need Intel Management Engine Interface?
f) Intel Video Driver? Nvidia driver too?
g) Intel WLAN driver?
h) Intel USB 3.0 driver?
i) Other drivers?
j) any specific order in which I should be installing these drivers?
3. My Device Manager lists a few devices as either unidentified or not working properly. What do I do?
