Event ID 37 problem

Hello community, I was just checking my "Event Viewer" and I found this warnin sign which says "The speed of processor # in group # is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for # seconds since the last report."

Tho it's not causing any crash or whatsoever, Im just wondering why is it like this, this never happens before o.O

My laptop is Lenovo Y410P

- Windows 8.1

- Nvidia GT750m

- Intel HD 4600 integrated graphic

- 2.5 GHz, 8 GB ram, i7 4th gen

Re: Event ID 37 problem

I do get such warnings sometimes on my Y510P, but Are you getting these very frequent?

(Probably I get these once a day, I can check after work)

I also do not experience any slowdown or problems with my system.

Re: Event ID 37 problem

Well, I would suggest that you monitor the system for a couple of days and see if these warnings keep coming up regularly. I will scrounge the web for why these warnings get displayed. (Though I dont think it is a problem)

I will also post my feedback of how my system is performing and displaying warnings.

Re: Event ID 37 problem

I hope you are not finding any problems with your system.

I searched for the EVENT and yes it is a firmware limitation, there are some solutions for it which may need you to modify the firmware or disabling some protocols but I wouldnt recommend them until you are actually facing an issue.
