I am not able to factory reset my laptop. It is an IdeaPad Z580 and I am using the factory reset button besides the power button. The button is not responding at all. Nothing happen when I press it or press and hold it.
My laptop started behaving wierd and it stopped recognizing the wireless adapter card. I tried a system restore, it did not work. Now trying to do a factory reset and I am not able to do it at all.
Please help. I am fedup with the problems on this Ideapad and the lack of support from Lenovo.

If you are still running Windows 8 or 10 this might work.
Press and hold the shift key and choose the restart option on your laptop. It will bring up your repair/recovery options.
You can also access it by bringing up your charms bar(moving your mouse to the right bottom corner and scrolling up, some can be a little touchy) and selecting "Change PC Settings". This should allow you to access your repair/recovery options. I can't remember if it is 8 or 8.1 that you have to selected general options first.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!
