Hope that helps..

This is what I have done to mine:

Boot into bios and disable secure boot.

1. Boot in safe mode.

2. Uninstall wifi driver from device manager. Be sure to check the box that says "delete ...".

3. Reboot and let windws 8 install it's own wifi driver.

4. Connect to internet by supplying the ssid and passphrase.

5. Disable bluetooth.

I have a very stable connection after this.

Re: Failure to hold wifi connection- ongoing issue

HiRebekah,

Another thing I would suggest is for you to uninstall the Lenovo Energy Management and reinstall it from the link below.

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/em8.08.0.2.4.exe

Hope this helps and do post back your results.

Re: Failure to hold wifi connection- ongoing issue

Hello.

I have this problem of the dropping wifi connection and have read several ways to fix it from various sites. I have already uncheck boxes in Device Manager regarding internet connection and saving power.

Below is my computer info, but, in Windows 8, I don't know how to "restart" my computer, plain, in safe mode, etc.

I just bought this computer about a month ago, and this wifi connection problem only seems to a problem at home on my Excede Satilite wifi; I took a trip several weeks ago and never had this problem with wifi at various wifi sites.

If I could get nicly detailed 1. Step, 2. Step, sort of instrutctions, I would really appreciate it. I've got the flu and my head is congested enough as it is. Thanks.

Here's my computer info:
