I had to replace the motherboard in my Y50-70 since either the CPU or GPU died. Anyway, got the replacement (and apart from the keyboard lighting is not working, everything is fine), but it has no S/N, MTM and MODEL in the BIOS settings. I already have some issues because of this, like Windows keeps on telling me it's not activated... It is the exact same model as the old one, just without the ID info.
The big question is: can I fix it somehow, flashing the correct info in it?
What I tried already: backflashed the BIOS to version 1.13 and tried the Maintenance Diskette to enter the S/N, but it says the EEPROM is write protected...
The next thing I want to try is to use the amidedos utility from DOS environment. By the way, the BIOS is InsydeH2O.
Any help would be greately appreciated!

Welcome to the Community Forums,
You would need a proprietary tool that is provided only to Lenovo certified service center/tech to edit the information in the BIOS. It would be the only way to update it safely.
The product key likewise is embedded in the original OEM system board so choosing a board with embedded PK should have been a better option specially for those preloaded machine with Windows 8/8.1/10.
Under this condition, you should contact a Lenovo servicer or distributor.
Hope this helps answer your query.
