Fresh Installation of OS

2010-08-29, 17:00 PM

Hi

I recently bought a lenovo Y560 with rapid drive technology. I am having issues upgrading the OS from windows home premium to ultimate version.

Inside the box, they have printed a paper stating that non OEM os is not supported. But i went ahead and tried all normal methods (by putting the disc and boot from DVD) but it couldn't pass the windows loading files stage. Now i am stuck with windows home premium.

Can somebody guide me how to overcome this issue and install fresh installation of my windows 7 ultimate.

thank you

regards

Krishna

set bios order for #1 > dvd in bios, then save and exit.

try again and do not miss the text "press any button to install windows"

small possibility but you sure dvd works?

if you have upgrade disk, it'd be easy to install it.

ps: after installing ultimate, if you use one key recover, one key recover will install previous operation system.

if you make any changes on volumes, one key recover will stop working.
