I just got an ideaPad Y500, and I replaced the 16GB-mSATA SSD with a 120GB Kingston SSD.
Now I am curious how I can get a fresh Win7 installation on it.
It seems that the BIOS-options are somewhat limited on these models?
I can't change the boot-drive etc.
So, is there a guide/info, how I can install my Win7 Pro on it?
Thanks in advance!

If you use a disk cloning program and copy the OS that originally comes with your Y500 and copy it to your mSATA drivce, then format the mSATA drive, it will uefi information for it to be able to be booted to. You'll just have to bump the mSATA up in the boot order.
