Case has been logged to engineering for their investigation regarding this issue.
Also several users has provided some temporary workaround by doing a system restore to before 28th Sep or run game in XP compatibility mode. (Cheers to mfrazzz and saylahvie).
Appreciate everyone's patience on this.

Stuff like this takes time. This was just identified over the last week, and wasn't narrowed down to what caused the change in behavior until a few days ago, and has just been submitted to Lenovo engineering by JameZ. Who knows if they have figured out what the ultimate cause is, let alone a way to fix it yet. Then when thats found, it will have to be tested and made sure it doesn't cause other issues before being released (you'd be even more upset if the fix broke other things, or even bricked your laptop).
While I want to see a fix a soon as possible myself, since I work in the computer industry, I know something like this is going to take time. Repeatedly asking for information is not going to make things go faster.
I do hope Lenovo updates us in this thread with status on the issue they raised internally.

I have the same problem in video games, where everything i push turns to 0-10 sequentially, unless i hold alt.
I've tried doing a system restore, updating CCC, and plugging in another keyboard.
Have yet to try:
Uninstall keyboard drivers (doubtful it will work since second keyboard didn't)
Update BIOS (people say it hasn't worked)
Yell at customer support
Is there a fix yet?

I bought a G555 yesterday and experienced this problem. I think I found the issue is with the GuardID startup program intercepting keystrokes. See the thread "G550 laptop typing in numbers instead of letters" for more detail. My fix (or at least workaround) is to remove the "GID Desktop Application from the Startup Menu.
