[HELP] Y40 SSD not detected in BIOS

2016-06-25, 11:15 AM

Hi all,

I bought the laptop for more than one year and it went well until I sent it for repair as my laptop stuck in loading Windows. Then the report said it was due to the problem of mother board.

After that, I updated to Windows 10 and my laptop always ran into the problem of reaching 100% disk usage and same problem after installing back to Win 8. I neglected this problem as it always went down after a few seconds.

The tragedy happend when I was trying to copy photos from my Iphone to my laptop. My laptop stuck while the data was transfering and after several mins, the situation didn't change so I cold booted it. Then I got the message "EFI network 0 for ipv4 (...) boot failed". From a solution of a post, I found my SSD was not detected in BIOS. I also bought a enclosure and the SSD didn't show up in my desktop.

Thus I guess the problem is from the SSD. Could it be possible that it get damaged when shipping to my address? I never had the 100% disk usage issue before I sent for repair.

Desperate right now since the data there is very important to me. :(
