I'll try my best to make this as clear as possible, thanks for your time...
Received my free copy of windows 7 home prem.
Wanted a clean install (not an upgrade)
Backed up all data and programs that I installed
During the win 7 installation i deleted both the system recovery partition and the 2nd partion of my HDD (was labeled d, came that way from lenovo's factory, had 70gb size i believe)
I thought that If i deleted the partition that the hdd space would be added back to the 1st partition and this did not happen
Followed through with the win 7 installation and now I just have my C: and the GBs from the old 2nd partition were never recovered so its as if i decreased my overall HDD size
How can I get my C: to have the full 320gb? Thanks for any advice given!!!!

You can allocate the unused hard drive space by doing the following.
Start > Run > diskmgmt.msc
Right-click on the Windows partition [should be C] and click "Extend". Extend the partition as needed and enjoy.

Why did you choose clean install?
Is this the Windows 7 Upgrade program disc that you received?
I also ordered for my U350, but I still did not get my Win 7 DVD.
Can you please tell what you got in your upgrade Kit?
Did it also come with the original lenovo software (the one that was included in vista)?
What is your system model?
Thanks & Regards,

I choose a clean install because I just wanted a fresh start, I hated vista with a passion and my thinking was a clean install would be best. That and I hated norton and even with the norton removal tool and registry edits I felt there were still norton "leftovers".
I received a Win 7 disk that was titles "Upgrade disk" but it you set the boot up option to red the cd drive first you can perform a clean install. My system model is the y450 and all that comes with the win 7 upgrade is the win 7 disk and the lenova drivers disk.
