Hi
I have an IdeaPad Y470 bought just over a year ago and noted (?recently) that the fan is working constantly (loudly). When I checked today the CPU temp is around 70 degrees celcius (160 degrees F'heit). It has the i7 2670QM processor.
I don't think temps of 70 are normal for the chip and that probably is why the fan is running all the time.
Is this a known problem with this computer. Any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks

70*C is just fine, the TJMax of that processor is 100*C as long as it doesn't hit that you should have no problem, running consistently at 30*C under the max is no problem at all
