How do I disable the touchpad on my Z580 permanently

I press Fn F6 everytime to disable, but I would like it permanently disabled. Thanks.

There is no way of disabling touchpad permanently. You can use the hotkey to do so till the next reboot.

The only problem with this is the hotkey "fix" doesn't stick on my Z580.  If the computer goes to sleep, you have to redo the keystrokes.  Also, on a regular basis it will turn itself back on.  My older Toshiba will allow you to disable the touchpad when another device is detected.
