How do I enable the Intel WiFi Link 1000 BNG adaptor

2015-03-06, 16:18 PM

I have an IdeaPad Z570 that i somehow mistakenly desabled the wireless adaptor (WiFi Link 1000 BNG)  I can'f for the life of me figure out how to enable it again.

FN+F5 tells me to switch on the wireless device.

Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network Connections say the wireless network connection is not connected.  If I right click, I have the option to disable it.  If I click on connect/disconnect, a window pops up in the bottom right saying Not connected, no connections are availble.

Please help, Im sure its something simple.

Thanks Jason

Check your unit if you have the wifi switch as indicated in the picture shown (number 11 is the switch). If there is a switch turn it ON.

I......am........an.........idiot. I swear I looked to see if there was an external switch and never saw this. I must have accidentally turned it off at some point. Thank you very much. Sorry for the ridiculous problem 0_o

It can happen to anybody. Like me, onetime,  I look everywhere for my eyeglasses only to find out later that I'm wearing it.
