How to delete Lenovo EasyCamera on Y580

2013-05-11, 12:21 PM

Hi,

I have a problem with removing Camera drivers on my Y580.

When I remove EasyCamera drivers it shows that uninstall was succesful, but next time I start or restart my system, the **bleep** drivers are still working and are enabled.

How is this possible when I removed it?

Hi

Welcome in Lenovo Forums

Please make sure that once you right click on the camera driver to press Uninstall knowing that you will be facing a massage asking if you want to delete the driver or not , so you need to press yes to delete it

Also there is another way and i see that it's better for you which is disabling the camera its self as long you don't want to use it

Let me know

Thanks

Alaa

I did clik on that pop up window, and drivers disappeared like they were really removed. But after restart, they spawned back like nothing happend. I know disabling drivers is an option, but I really wonder why i cant remove this driver?

Can you explain mechanics behind this, so I can understand?

Thanks for answer

This is how I see it: When you remove the Lenovo Camera it (software) is actually being removed. However, since the physical camera is still connected internally, when you restart windows it detects it and install it's own windows driver. It's like the plug and play situation.

Hi

The Camera will be automatic installed once you restart every time , so as i clarified above to can disable the camera that will be the nearest option for you

Thanks
