Idea Pad Y510 - Windows 7 32 bit

Just wanted to post that I just updated my y510 to Windows 7 this weekend and it was flawless.  Very happy all went well.  Had a few questions beforehand and called lenovo and they were very helpful.  Windows 7 managed my drivers and everything else great.   Just thought I'd post in case anyone was hesitant about upgrading like I was.

Let's see how it does over the next few days!  Smiley Happy

Re: Idea Pad Y510 - Windows 7 32 bit

How were you able to have enough room on the C drive to install Windows 7?  My C drive partition has only 3.3 gigs left because of the way C & D are configured for the Novo recovery system, and I thought you needed much more free room on C to install Win 7.

Re: Idea Pad Y510 - Windows 7 32 bit

hey Rajat_ Singhal

I found solution for speakers.

Just do

Go Here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

Select "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)"

Vista, Windows7 Driver (32/64 bits) Driver only (ZIP file)

just download and install, reboot. just play any music file. it works perfect for me.

no idea about webcam, if i get anything i'll post you.
