IdeaPad Y510P problems

Hi all. If I press any alpha-numeric buttons or F1-F9 buttons, my touchpad freezes, and sometimes is like I'm pressing continuously F2 button. Also, the laptop shocked me thrice when I touched the carcase (when it was charged). What can I do ?

Re: IdeaPad Y510P problems

connect your laptop to a grounded power cord. Mayybe you have connected directly your charger to the socket and the socket is faulty. Could be damaging your laptop.

Re: IdeaPad Y510P problems

Maybe you are Locking your Touchpad by mistake by pressing Fn+F6 together. Try Reinstalling all your Drivers.

Nope, isn't a faulty socket.

Re: IdeaPad Y510P problems

no need this is a feature inside synaptics drivers if you open synaptics settings are there is a setting there that makes touchpad feeze/lock it's a function that lets you like write alot without you accidentely moving mouse to put itself some where else so it moves typing thing.

If you got synaptics drivers then open settings area and find smartsense put that one to low or off and save changes that should then not effect your touchpad anymore when you etc holding W in and touch the mousepad this is best solution for those who play games with their laptop when touchpad locks itself when holding a keyboard key
