IdeaPad Y530 speaker sound problem

2009-02-13, 3:37 AM

I am using IdeaPad Y530 from a month now and Im facing a noise problem from its speakers. Even when volume is low it is creating a vibrational noise. Additinally, there is a hard disk processing noise as well which increases when Program processing is high. Can you suggest any solution for both the problems?

Thanks,

Vinay Mishra

I also bought a Y530 recently.

My laptop's right speaker gives off a vibrational noise on high volumes.

I wonder if I should send the unit back...

Yeah, I am also wondering whether we should return it back or not. Otherwise system performance is ok.

i suffered the same problem, there were vibrational noises coming around the right speaker even at low volumes. I sent it to technical service, and they accepted to replace it with another. However, it is not a problem caused by speaker, it's the keyboard; enter, backspace and other keys around there, placed over the subwoofer below. I considered this could be a designing mistake, but my 2nd y530 does not give no disturbing noises. I suggest you to change your laptop with a new one, and test before you have it. Because the sample y530 at where i bought my first y530 had the same problem, i checked it when i went there after giving it to service; the keyboard and speakers of the sample y530 at where i bought my second y530 were running smoothly.
