IdeaPad Z50-70 charger replacement

2017-11-26, 19:34 PM

I have broken the rectangular charger tip from original charger and it's all wonky, almost impossible to charge the laptop. I have been looking for information on z50-70 compatible chargers, but failed to find any useful information, Lenovo doesn't provide any and the same charger that I have (ADLX65NCC3A 65W 20V) is not available in my country. Is any lenovo charger with rectangular plug, 65W and 20A is compatible? What about non-lenovo brands? Could you suggest any?

Hi zuziuz1, welcome to the Community,

Any Lenovo IdeaPad adapter that is 20V 65W and has the rectangular plug on the end is compatible with yours. You can also look for a ThinkPad adapter, they have the same rectangular plug.  Just make sure the voltage and wattage are the same.

I can't recommend an aftermarket adapter, I haven't had much luck with those, they seem to overheat and fail after a short time using them.
