I tried looking at this problem on Google, but no luck. Anyway, the problem is with my touchpad. When I boot Windows 7 Home Premium, the touchpad isn't responding (the touchpad indicator is on), until I press ANY key on the keyboard. For example if I press Ctrl, the touchpad works again, until some time. Then it stops working again and I have to press some key again. It's frustrating. That doesn't happen with an external mouse. Another thing is, when I boot in, I can't seem to get a response from clicks on the Taskbar icons. I click on it, a frame around it appears, but the program doesn't run. I have to click on the Start button to get it working. I've tried new drivers for the touchpad from Lenovo support and from Synaptics and it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

There are some simple Troubleshooting steps that you can try.
1) Completely shut down the machine.
2) Remove the Battery.
3) Remove the Charger / AC Adaptor.
4) Press and Hold on the Power Button for 20 continues Seconds.
5) Connect the Charger / AC Adaptor.
6) Press and Hold on the Power Button for 10 continues Seconds.
7) Press on The Power Button once and try the touchpad.
This procedure is used to discharge any extra charge in the Motherboard. Please try this solution and if the problem still exists, just let me know.
