Ideadpad Y570 screen

I've had a Lenovo Ideapad Y570 for about a year and a few weeks ago the screen would fuzz up at random times. The picture would freeze then slowly fade to white. However after a little bit of adjustment the screen would return to normal and everything would function normally. About a week ago when the screen fuzzed it would not return to normal after adjustment but stay fuzzed. I can get the screen to unfreeze by putting pressure on the top left of the frame in the back and also putting pressure a few inches to the right from the front. Is this a screen issue? Should i just replace the screen or is this something else?

Re: Ideadpad Y570 screen

Hi iamabweaver,

Have an External LCD connected through the VGA out.

See if you have issues with the built it monitor while it will do the same with the external. if this is the case it is not your LCD. Maybe something wrong with the LCD Cable/Connection. or Motherboard.

But if the Problem is not happening with the External Monitor while your built it LCD shows the problem.

I would consider it an LCD problem.

Check this Manual if you need Replacement Guide.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!
