Ideapad Y500 wont recognize new media

Greetings

So today i got my Ideapad y500 and saw fast that i wanted a ssd rather than the 5400rpm 1TB HDD, but when i installed the new SSD i cant get past boot where it says something like "default media not regognized"

It's a OCZ Agility Sata 3 128GB. Is it because it is sata 3 and my y500 isnt compatible with it? (It was a fresh install of W7 on it)

Thanks and sorry for my English
Lars Erik

If you go to bios, can you see it is listed? Did you install it in legacy mode or uefi mode?

What format did you use? MBR or GPT?

I think the original setup of your unit is UEFI mode, GPT disk.

You can enter the bios by pressing the NOVO button located near the power plug and selecting bios setup.
