Ideapad Y550p breaks my DSL wifi Internet connection! (Windows 7)

My Internet connection lost  everytime my Ideapad Y550p, running Windows 7, logs on to my home wifi.

 

Other devices, including a few XP based machines, a Ubuntu Linix machine, and many mobile devices use my DSL based wifi fine, but the when my Lenovo ideapad logs on, the Internet light on the Westell 7500 DSL modem shuts off and the connection to the 'net is wrecked for everyone.

 

I can't figure it out. My ISP is Frontiernet and my Ideapad's wifi card is the Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN.

 

The same ideapad works on other wifi fine, in fact I'm writing from a wifi connection now.

I had this problem as well with an Ideapad Y530.  Ultimately I ended up using a different wireless router and the problem was "resolved".
