I have recently updated my BIOS using the 5dcn40ww.exe update located in the driver section. Before updating I set-up a BIOS password (which I did not forget). After the BIOS was flashed, the computer restarted, entered the BIOS, was prompted the password, put in the password, and entered the BIOS menu.
However, after I sthut down the computer and tried to get into the BIOS menu, the password was no longer recognized. I've read that this issue existed on some previous versions of ThinkPad BIOSes, where the update would do something to the passwords.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, that would be great!
The problem was with using the NUMPAD keys as opposed to the standard keys from the QWERTY keyboard. It might still be a bug in one of the versions, as I previously used the numpad keys.
